Have a question?

Top questions

Will it fit me?

One size, adjustable: it fits a chest of about 30–56 in (76–142 cm), from a women’s XS to about a 4XL or a men’s S to about a 3XL. Adjust it once at home, then it goes on like a T-shirt.

How do I put it on?

Adjust the buckles and straps to your body while the carrier is empty, put it on, then lift your baby in. It takes eight short steps, and once it’s adjusted it goes on like a T-shirt.

See the eight steps, with photos and the guide video.

Where can I use it?

In a pool, at a calm beach or at a hotel by the sea: anywhere you can stand with the water at your waist.

Returns and warranty

Try it on at home: trying it on doesn’t count as use, so you can return it within the number of days in our returns policy. The carrier has a 2-year limited warranty against seam, buckle and neoprene failure from normal pool and sea use (not hot tubs).

What’s in the box?

Your WaterLand carrier, an informational catalog and a drawstring bag to carry it to the pool, the beach or on the go.

Made for 4–24 months?

From about 4 months, once your baby holds their head steady without support (born early? use their corrected age, and ask your pediatrician if unsure). For babies 13–33 lb (6–15 kg), up to about 24 months.

Find your fit in three quick questions: age, head control and weight.

In the water

How deep can I go?

Go no deeper than your waist, and keep the water below your baby’s chest, whichever is shallower. Keep both feet flat and firm on the bottom: never on tiptoe, never crouching or kneeling.

Does it float?

The WaterLand carrier is not a flotation device, life jacket or swim aid, and it does not replace adult supervision. Use it only while standing with both feet firmly on the bottom, in calm water no deeper than your waist, with your baby’s face well clear of the water.

The carrier isn’t designed to keep your baby’s head above water, and you can’t rely on it to.

In the sea or a lake?

In the sea or a lake, use it only in calm, flat water no deeper than your waist, with no breaking waves, at a lifeguarded spot where you can (between the flags in Australia). If a wave, current or drop-off moves you or splashes your baby’s face, get out straight away.

Older child too?

With an older child in the water, it’s best to have two adults: one wears the baby, one watches the older child. On your own, the older child wears their own life jacket and stays within arm’s reach; if you can’t keep both within reach, get out.

Is it sun protection?

WaterLand has no UPF rating, so don’t rely on it for sun. Bring shade, and under 6 months keep your baby in shade and clothing first.

Can I use it in a hot tub?

WaterLand is made for pools, lakes and the sea, not for hot tubs or spas. The 2-year warranty covers normal pool and sea use (not hot tubs).

Orders and delivery

Where do you ship?

To several countries. Delivery options and costs for your address show at checkout. Orders usually ship in 1–2 business days, with tracking by email.

Where’s my order?

Your shipping confirmation email has a link to track your parcel. Open that email and tap the tracking link. You can also see your orders in your account.

I can’t find the shipping email.

Check your spam folder first. If it isn’t there, write to us with your order number.

Where can I buy it?

WaterLand is sold only by these official sellers.

Carriers bought anywhere else may not be genuine, and aren’t covered by our warranty.

Returns and gift swaps

How do I return or exchange an order?

Return within the number of days in our returns policy, counted from the day your order is delivered. Trying it on at home doesn’t count as use.

To start a return or exchange, write to us with your order number and say whether you want a refund or an exchange. The full terms are in the returns policy.

How do I return or swap a gift?

You don’t need an account. Write to us with the order number and the ZIP or postal code of the delivery address. If you don’t have the order number, ask the person who bought the gift.

Warranty

What does the warranty cover?

2-year limited warranty against seam, buckle and neoprene failure from normal pool and sea use (not hot tubs).

To claim, keep your order number or receipt and check your purchase.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Fill in the warranty claim form: where you bought it, your order number or receipt, and the purchase date. We’ll reply by email and ask for a photo of the problem and of the label.

Something looks worn or broken.

Stop using the carrier, then write to us with a photo and your order number. A buckle or seam problem is a safety report, and we’ll take it from there.

Wear parts are free under warranty, and otherwise sold at cost.

Safety notices

How do I register my carrier?

This registration is for safety alerts and recalls only. We’ll use your information only to contact you about a safety alert or recall for this product. We won’t sell, rent or share it. If you register here, you don’t need to mail the card that came with your carrier.

How do I check for recalls?

Search the recall list at cpsc.gov/Recalls. Have the model name and the manufacture date from the label ready.

What should I check before the water?

Work through these in good light, before every season.

  • Neoprene: no cracks, thin spots or peeling.
  • Seams: intact along their whole length.
  • Webbing: no fraying or cuts.
  • Buckles: none cracked; each locks with a click when wet.
  • Elastic: not stretched out or perished.
  • Label: still there and easy to read.

If any check fails, stop using the carrier and tell us.

Where’s the manual?

The fit video and the step-by-step instructions are in the guide. Keep the label and the manual with the carrier.

How do I report a safety incident?

If anyone was hurt, get medical help first. Then write to us what happened, when it happened, and the model and manufacture date from the carrier’s label.

Please attach photos of the carrier, its label and any damage.
